We stock millions of dollars in inventory and are committed to having available the products our customers want us to have. We also have the ability to transfer product between our 8 branches overnight without any additional freight expense.
We recognize the need for our customers to continue to cut expenses in their operations to increase efficiency and improve profitability in these competitive times. We are committed to assisting our customers in this process. There are many innovative ways to reduce costs in the "Manufacturer - Distributor - Customer" channel. One primary method of reducing costs is to reduce the number of suppliers that you deal with. This greatly reduces your purchasing and payable expenses. Company Background
Valley Welders Supply was started in 1949 as an offshoot of Valley Motor Supply to give the welding customers in our territory better service and access to a larger stock of industrial gases and welding supplies. In the 1970's, at the suggestion of our customers, Valley Welders began stocking and selling cutting tools, machine tools and accessories used in machine shops. In the 1980's, stores were added in Sheridan WY, Great Falls MT, and Gillette WY, to better serve the customers in those areas. The Linde gas plant in Billings was also purchased during this time period. The last few years have been very exciting with several acquisitions of successful companies in new locations that brings us up to the number of branches you see in the "locations" part of this site. Also, in 1996, we started an aggressive building and expansion plan. We are increasing the capacity of several stores, building new stores, and remodeling several stores to better handle our many products and better serve our customers. In 2001 we acquired 4 locations from Air Liquide to better serve our customers in the Helena, Missoula and the Billings area.  With this addition, we have greatly increased our availability of medical, beverage, bulk and specialty gases. Along with the new locations we were fortunate to retain most of their most knowledgeable people that are here to serve you.  January 2006 bring the addition of another new location for Valley Welders Supply.  While we have served the Butte, Montana area out of our other stores, we will now be able to better serve the area with a new store. This also brings the new service of home delivery of propane to the Butte area.
